I can’t live a second without a smile. It’s the main peculiarity of my nature. I remember me smiling all my life. I’m used to smiling all the time even in spite of difficulties arising on my way from time to time. In fact I’m fond of walking on the edge. I really feel joy of doing this. This excites me to distraction indeed. For example I was one of few guys who managed to survive after the crash of an airliner. As you know the history of our humanity is rather a dynamic process with the atmosphere of suspension and numerous sudden and unpredictable turns. We’ve passed a long way from almost wild creatures to contemporary humans who can really consider themselves to be real masters of the Earth. Currently we live much longer now when compared with previous centuries. Of course we have also become much wealthier thank to the profit oriented market economy. Due to loans we can have an opportunity to increase our expenses even if they aren’t covered by our monthly income. Sometimes I can’t understand how this could be. But certainly as many other people I use all benefits of free market economy for my sake.
But the main feature of our contemporary human society is that we do our best to avoid excessive risks. Perhaps to some extent this should be in such a way and most probably our sticking to safety is quite a natural reaction for any living being on the Earth. But on the other hand because of this our behavior fails to be natural because we pay to much attention to safety in my opinion. Perhaps in the nearer future we’ll be similar to pets kept by employers. I mean that we not only do our best to avoid responsibility but to my great regret we’ve almost lost an ability to entertain ourselves in the natural way. In most cases we prefer artificially created “safe” kinds of entertainment such as watching TV, playing computer games and so on. Certainly I can’t be pleased by this tendency.
In dark medieval ages people were used to amusing themselves by knight combats. That was an awesome entertainment. That gave positive emotions and men could have an excellent opportunity to be real strong men from my point of view. As for me I do my best to entertain myself in the natural risky way. I’ve tried many kinds of extreme activities such as parachute jumps, aerobatics, mountain climbing and so on. This year I’m going to dive with sharks in one awesome lagoon. I’m looking forward to a great excitement. I hope you’ve just wished me luck.
